An item has recently been banned from the Fortnite game after a strange glitch was found to be effective. The upgrade for Slurp Juice is not currently on the table to be back until developers fix the glitch that has caused such an uproar. An apparent bug allowed players to become, literally, invincible.
Slurp Juice was deleted by Epic Games on July 24, after an upgrade for Fortnite that was meant to improve stats. However, once that update went live, a serious problem with the inner workings of the item became evident.
Under normal circumstances, Slurp Juice would restore health, or it could also give you a shield if you had a full health meter. After use, it disappeared from your inventory, as it was suppose to do.
Players quickly came to realize, however, that their characters could drink Slurp Juice, yet not actually consume it. The trick was to cancel the drink animation once it had started. This gave you all the benefits with regards to health, but it also tricked the game into thinking you had decided not to drink Slurp Juice after all.
In essence, players gained an absolutely unlimited use of the item. This meant that they would be able to constantly restore health and actually live forever. Other players could, of course, still kill you, but as long as you were able to take advantage of the Slurp Juice bug, your health would never be lost completely.
One of the core components of the Fortnite game is Fortnite Island. Here, there is a storm approaching that shrinks the playable portion of the player’s map. Whoever happens to be caught in that storm loses health, only to eventually die. The idea is force players inside a small confinement in order to achieve combat.
However, with the Slurp Juice bug, and the ability to consume it infinitely, it suddenly became a possibility to endure the storm’s damage, yet still survive. This gave a definite edge over those players who might not know the bug existed.
Epic Games released a statement that acknowledged the Slurp Juice defect and the fact that they had disabled it temporarily. They said that they were investigating the cause and hoped to have a fix soon, as they were working toward that end. No specifics have been given concerning when it will be back or what caused the malfunction in the first place.
You may have already seen some of the most recent news concerning Fortnite and the new 2018 Halloween leaks. It seems that costumes are being seen all over the map, popping up in new locations. Season 6 seems to have lots of brand new content and the 2018 Halloween event looks like it’s going to be a pretty big deal. Why else would the team of developers begin releasing special costumes and brand new decorations if it was not?
We have not heard yet whether Epic Games is going to offer new gear, LTM or other new items for the upcoming holiday season. We are just saying, it would not really be a surprise if that is exactly what happens. Data miners have already found a lot of new stuff for Halloween, with even more stuff coming soon.
As a fan, you might already have noticed some new decorations floating around in addition to the ghost costumes, which have made appearances already in different parts of the map locations. It looks like, as far as decorations go, you could soon be seeing a Tubeman Llama, which is an unpredictable addition to say the least. You will find it comes in a nice purple color with an additional stand for use. It is probably another facet of the changes and props that Epic has planned and planted for holiday use.
Some fans seem to be expecting an imminent return of Skull Trooper skin. It came up as a part of the trailer for season 6, however many are left wondering what its role will be. It doesn’t seem to make sense to bring back a season 1 feature in design for a switchover between seasons unless there is, indeed, some type of reason for its arrival.
Epic Games has kept to its usual façade of remaining very quiet about the newbies. However, if Halloween turns out to be the caliber of celebration it looks like it is going to be, you can almost assure an announcement is forthcoming concerning all the changes, skins, characters and gear.
On another front, it seems like fans of Fortnite appear to be struggling with a battle star task. One of the “search” challenges happens to be separated in stages, with the first being to open three chests. The trickier second phase is to search drops and the third is to search a Llama location. That is where things get tricky. Stay tuned.
